Maytal Zchut is a queer, first generation American writer born to immigrant parents from Israel, best known for her work on the CW show “Stargirl.”
Endlessly fascinated by the study of human behavior and the complexities of human nature, she writes character-driven drama and genre television, incorporating elements of LGBTQ+ struggles with isolation and identity into her work – often informed by her experiences spending formative years split between America and Israel.
After earning a degree in Television from Emerson College, Maytal honed her craft by working in as many areas of the television and film industry as possible. As a fresh voice in comics, Maytal is channeling her screenwriting knowledge and personal experiences to tell stories from her unique perspective.
